Looks like Utah’s tool is yet another tool where the information is fabricated by the providers. Comcast doesn’t have any wire in the ground in my 10 year old housing development, but they’ll just say there is coverage on any map. My back yard neighbor has it, but they won’t come around the corner.
At least CenturyLink finally upgraded to fiber to the local box, so now I have a 20 Mbps option…. Too bad the business fiber providers are out of reach for a normal homeowner to get a “business” account.
That’s one of the biggest failings of the maps. Until they’re given money and authority to audit the results, it’s all guesswork.
