Dish isn’t actually pushing “commercial-free” TV, just giving customers the option to have them automatically skipped over. I have Dish and the new Hopper, and with the ‘Auto-Hop’ option I can set my Prime Time Anytime shows to automatically skip over the commercials. A Dish coworker showed me how to use it, and if I want to watch a program like the Super Bowl (with awesome commercials), I can just turn the Auto-hop function off. It saves time, makes it more fun to watch, and saves me the trouble of having to push forward-skip every time another Activia™ commercial comes on.
