Campaign 2008: The Second Round of E-mails

I've now sent e-mails to all candidates for Governor, State Senate and State House, though a surprising number of candidates either did not submit an e-mail address or submitted an e-mail address that's invalid! I'm planning on sending out snail-mail versions of the surveys to these candidates, but if you have an e-mail address for any of them (listed below), I'd appreciate being spared the cost of a stamp. After all, I'm doing all of this out-of-pocket.

As a side note, a few candidates have already submitted responses but they have been slow in coming thus far. You can read what I've gotten on the wiki.

Candidates without valid e-mail addresses:

  • Matt Frandsen – Governor

Jessee, not to pull you tail too hard, but did these people opt-in to your sending them email??? With that slight jab in the ribs, I will look into my database and see if I can help you when I get back home tonight. It looks like I have got my subscription / publishing issues worked out. I hav’nt received any hate mail from you in some time :

  2. Jesse says:

Candidate surveys are a one-on-one communication intended to be responded to. It’s the same as sending someone an e-mail to say “hey, what’s up”. A one-time mailing intended to start a conversation is much different than, say, sending 10,000 of your “closest friends” a political article with a faked From address.

And yes, I did still get a mailing from you on 2/16. Ticked me off something fierce.

  3. Mark Towner says:

Just yanking your chain… Do you remember what the 2/16 mailing was about? I don’t recall anything. Did you save it so I can backtrack? IF you have it, please sent it to my private email address. But at least you have not received anything in the past 30 days correct?

    Mark
